Poll #915535 "The King Grew Vain..."

Do you go back and re-read old reviews of your fics?

Yes, all the time!
3(15.0%)
Sure, every now and again.
10(50.0%)
Um... Sometimes
6(30.0%)
Hardly ever
0(0.0%)
God, no!
1(5.0%)

So, just how pathetic is that?

Not at all! Reminding yourself of what your audience likes is good!
6(30.0%)
Not very. Seeing the pleasure you've given readers keeps you motivated.
12(60.0%)
Um... Gosh, now that I think about it...
1(5.0%)
Yeah, that's pretty pathetic.
0(0.0%)
Completely pathetic! You want to read reviews, write something new and get new ones!
1(5.0%)

The King grew vain
Fought all his battles o'er again
And thrice he routed all his foes
And thrice he slew the slain

-John Dryden, "Alexander's Feast"

What's wrong with reading positive comments when you're down?

LOL! Mine are at both ends, because I go back and re-read them whenever I lack inspiration for fic or need a push, which means I go back and re-read A LOT!!!
