Rambling about Ambling

Posted on 2007.06.15 at 07:48
Another mile down, bright and early on a morning slightly chilly for June. Was up waaaay too late having waaaaay too good a time. So not much sleep, and the first half-mile was really hard. But when I finished that first half-mile, I kept going for the second, so, go, me.

Here's a Satellite-Hybrid view of the park I walk around. Two circuits around those ball-fields is a mile.

I held the Monday post until the video cleared YouTube, and that ended up taking till Tuesday afternoon, so I'll just go live with this, and hope it goes well.

(The grey and red sweatshirt, if you're really that instersted, can be seen here.)

A. *eyebrow* a really, really good night last night? You're such a damned tease.

B. The revolving of the scenary behind you makes me a bit nauseous.

D. *hugs* because you deserve them more than anyone I know this morning!!

A: Just a long, lovely phone conversation with a very good friend that left me feeling all warm and happy.

B: Sorry. I have to pace a bit after the walk, so that gets to be part of the vid.

C: Thank you so much! This is about how I'd really like it. It's so much easier to take care of, it doeasn't try to steal my glasses or punish my eyeballs driving with teh windows open.

D: Oh, now, I'll take your hug with a big ol' smile, and return it with interest, but I'm sure there are many equally deserving candidates.

Go you! *dons cheerleader outfit and waves pom-poms*

And I'm pretty tired today, too, so I can totally relate....

We'll have to help each other get through the day, won't we?

Oh, babe, I like you in that outfit way too much!

So, yeah, we'll help each other get through the day. That's what we do, isn't it?

Nashua, NH! I've been there. Went to the mall in Nashua when I went to visit my sis. Hehe. fun fun fun.

I survived the day. Plane ride was good. Got through it by watching Doctor Who and stalwartly refusing to contemplate the airplane bathroom, thank you very much. ;)

This vacation thing is fun. I think I need to go on vacation for one week out of every month. Too bad I don't have that much vacation time saved up, huh?

I must away to bed 'cause it's midnight and we have to leave for North Carolina at the ass-crack of dawn, but thought I'd drop by to say Howdy.

I'm so glad you're having a good time so far!

"Doctor Who" is a fine way to survive long periods of inactifity without going mad. I approve. (That other thing, though, that could have been all right as well!).

Sleep well, and I'll be thinking of you.

Dude! This one time, (NOT in band camp, tyvm) I was trying to drive to Concord, from Logan Int'l, and got us lost and we wound up in Salem before I realized we were in the WRONG state!!
We ate at the Weathervane, and my friend and I melted under the table in big puddles of homesick-yankee-girl contented goo. The waitress was very kind, and said that they got alot of people who were trying to get to Concord stop there. I always thought she was just trying to make us feel better. For the rest of the quest/trip, whenever we'd get lost, we joke "We're not very lost 'cause, we're not in New Hampshire yet." Not that NH isn't a pretty state and all, but when you are aiming for Vt or Ma it's a little embarrassing.

Re: OMG!!

I'm not a Weathervane eater -- I hateseafood (In fact, I hate almost all food, which makes my amazing mass soemthing of an accomplishment!) -- but I've been by the one you mean. When Salem had our nearest Target store, I was a fairly frequent visitor to the town. You got on 93 North. It is, in fact, a common error.

I live just south of the New Hampshire border, in Pepperell, Massachusetts. I like NH enough, but I'm prouder of my home state.

Had some computer stuff I had to fix yesterday, so I only got to see this today.
Whoo Hoo! Another mile down! And to go out and get it done when you're feeling tired... I tip my funky fuzzy orange hat to you, my friend. XD

Yay to the Funky Hat! I feel a real responsibility to do my mornnig miles now. I think, starting next week, I'm going top bring a pair of 5 lb Dumbells to the office, leave them on my desk, and try to do a few curls with them between each call.

We'll see.
