Hey, I thoroughly enjoyed that! Wolfe and Archie were both splendid, and Cramer of course. And the Doctor stuff was rivetting despite my lack of knowledge. Loved that he was an orchid fan, and starstruck by Wolfe! And LOL'd at the address being somewhere out in the East River. So, do continue!

I wasn't exactly beta reading--sorry not enough time--but I thought Cramer snapped a couple of times in quick succession. Otherwise I thought it was very well written indeed with great use of language- puckish frolics, cubist footprint.

You might want to check out police boxes? If this is set in 1968, and Cramer says they were set up 10 years ago... that really doesn't ring true to me. I think of them as Victorian era. Just checked on Wikipedia which says they were mostly installed in the inter-war period. (And also that they are actually an American invention!)

I'm literally about to go on holiday for a week - Tenerife, tomorrow, can't wait - but would be happy to read anymore of this when I get back. If you'd like.

Thanks very much for the kind words! I'm glad that you enjoyed this chapter, and I hope you'll enjoy future chapters on your return.

Re: Police Boxes, I think that Cramer will have learned more about them before we see another in the present day.
